Welcome to AHA

Welcome to A-HA! (After Hours Art)

Our class is comprised of 5th-8th graders. Our course objective is to provide a variety of creative experiences for those students who would like to pursue the art making process on a deeper level.

We will be meeting two Mondays per month after school from 3:15 -4:30 p.m in the Multi- purpose room. (Please note attached schedule.) After 4:30 p.m., children will be checked into the late room where a child care fee will be assessed.

The annual art supply fee is $60.00. Please use a separate check payable to Beth Van Grinsven and give it to the cashier at the end of the registration day line. At the latest, for your student to be included in my art supply order and class, the fee needs to be received in the main school office byMonday, August 31st. Please make checks payable to Beth Van Grinsven.

If for any reason your child cannot complete the course, you will receive the remaining supplies at the end of the year. Supplies are purchased in advance and in a quantity discount if possible, so there is no refund of monies.

My teaching is on a voluntary basis and I have taught art in several grades at St. Jacobi over the years. I have a B.S. in art education and have worked/ taught on national, state, and local levels in schools, recreation programs, nursing homes and museums for over 20 years. Mrs. Tracey Swezey and Mrs. Mary Plaski, St. Jacobi parents and fellow art lovers, will be helping with class coordination and supply management.

All artists who complete the course will be awarded a medal at the spring musical, at which time we also hold our student art show.

Please feel free to call or email with any comments or questions.

Shine for Jesus!
